The Cleveland Browns have acquired quarterback Deshaun Watson in a trade with the Houston Texans for first-round picks in 2022, 2023 and 2024 as well as a 2023 third-round pick and a 2024 fourth-round pick. The Texans are sending a 2024 fifth-round pick to the Browns in the trade as well.

The Browns made history when they paid Deshaun Watson, signing the polarizing quarterback to an unprecedented fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million contract after already spending multiple draft picks, including three first-rounders, to acquire him.

Between suspensions and injuries Watson hasn't done squat for the Browns. Hindsight is 20/20; but the Browns would be much better off not having traded for Watson and just trade up (i.e. swap 1st round picks) with the Texans to get CJ Stroud in this year's draft.
