Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

Cleveland Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was taken to a local hospital after sustaining a throat contusion in the team’s 47-42 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon at SoFi Stadium.

The Browns announced after the game that Owusu-Koramoah was taken to the hospital as a precaution to undergo further evaluation. The former Notre Dame standout finished the game with four total tackles.

Oddly enough, Owusu-Koramoah was not the only NFL player to be hospitalized with a throat contusion on Sunday. Joe Burrow received the same diagnosis following the Cincinnati Bengals’ overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers.3

"For all of you ‘fans’ who are blaming yesterday’s loss solely on Baker, wake up,” Emily Mayfield wrote on Instagram. “It was one hell of a game and that game could have gone either way. He left it all on the field. Your truly don’t know what you have. I have watched him give his all and change the entire culture in CLE, yet he gets so little credit for it. He never asks for recognition and continues to carry the wight day in and day out, despite the hate.

"If you’re a true fan, SUPPORT our guys. Baker, and everyone else. The hate does NOTHING for them.”

Emily Mayfield has a history of defending her quarterback against hot takes and fan hate. She took to social media last October after Cleveland's 38-7 loss to Pittsburgh.

"He's not in an easy position. And he's grinding for this city. It takes time. Don't send me some stupid s***," Emily Mayfield wrote.
