Cleveland Browns (2014 Season)

I will speculate.

Me, I would offer the next two years 2nd round draft picks for Adrian Peterson.

Would probably give them at least one 1st rounder if they wanted it, though I would like to see the Browns do it NBA style with certain picks protected for a number of years.

i would make the offer for real

2 twos for adrian peterson.

Why? We seem to have two very capable young RB's and a guy in Winston that looked good for San Fran. Plus I'm not comfortable at all trading 2 picks for a 30 year old running back with massive knee surgery under his belt.
Even if that RB is AP.

I was thinking more along the lines of a trade in our front 7.

why, why not.

cleveland is on a roll.

chance to get a HOF back for future picks, i'd do it.

knees, age, and contract are factors though.

both young backs have looked good.

in the end though, we would just be bidding up the ghost of al davis and jerry jones for Peterson.

he will be a raider or a cowboy.

to me though, this is the time to buy peterson while you can.

AP is also making 15 mil a year, which is a ton of money for an RB. I honestly don't know a trade that I would make right now. Manziel for a first plus a performance based pick in 2 years? if someone really wanted Tate i'd listen. I'd be willing to give up one of my DL in a deal for a true #2 WR. The offense hasn't been bad the first 2 weeks and that was without Cameron, Tate, and Gordon for most if not all of it. If this team could somehow split the first 10 games and stay healthy things could get interesting.

That would be insane for a number of reasons. For one, the stink of this scandel isn't going to leave him, and honestly, I don't know if he's even going to play again. I think he's done in Minnesota, and depending how the legal process plays out, maybe done in the NFL period. Two, he's almost 30 years old with a lot of mileage on him. He's already started missing games due to injury. Three, they already appear to have two more than capable backs in West and Crowell, and Tate when he comes back. Four, even considering trading two #1's for any player when you still have holes to fill is insane. This team is still in the building phase. You don't trade away building blocks for what's likely, at most, a 1-2 year fix...and that's without all of the other issues surrounding him right now.

As for dealing Johnny Paycheck, there's no reason to do that yet. Yeah, Hoyer has looked pretty good in 1.5 games so far this year. That gives him a roughly 4 or 5 game track record. You don't hang your hat on that yet.

I'm shocked we haven't attempted to move Rubin or Sheard by now.

yeah, I mean, I was assuming that's what you were getting at.... but I guess the question is, for what? (or who?) or whatever.

Rubin's been not good.

Sheard... I think you'd need to get some value for, Kruger's stepped up, obviously but Mingo was a no go last week, etc. I think he's pretty valuable staying around...

Well wahtever, depends what they can get back.

Maybe we can get Trent Richardson for a 2015 6th rounder and trade him somewhere for a 2nd round pick after the bye week.
