Cleveland Browns (2013 Season)

Since they signed a new punter yesterday, I wonder if Banner and Lombardi had to call Jimmy to make a stop in Cleveland before signing him. I sure hope that Chud was consulted because this might be the "big splash".

Man, the Indians spend like 120 million in the off season and you're playing the self hating Cleveland fan over a (probably not even gonna make the proactice squad) punter signed a month before the FA period starts?

He probably can't throw it that far either...

They brought back the ST coach right? I wouldn't be surprised if he is high on this kid from camp last year and wants to give him a shot to win the job since Hodges probably won't be back. Still not the type of move that the owner needs to be involved in.

When I watch Tyrone Mathieu I see Ed Reed...I would love for us to draft him in the third or move up into the second...Also does anyone have any thoughts on Anthony Spencer from the Cowboys in free agency...Pass rushing LB would fill a major need...Not sure if the 'Boys tagged him or not...

Um, no. You do not spend a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick on a headcase when you're in the middle of building a roster.

Also, Reed has about 2-3" and 30 lbs on Mathieu.

how about no....and how about no....this team needs to take a DB with it's first pick to pair Haden with...after that it's BPA to fill the holes this team clearly has....

As for Spencer, there's a lot of miles on the tires for what they would have to pay him...I think the money would be better spent on a similar, cheaper but younger player....

I would love to see what Tyrone Mathieu can bring to the table. I wonder if he's related to Tyrann?? Hopefully he's better because Tyrann is a short, slow,
Basketcase of a pick that will be consistently picked on in the NFL.

Sorry about the spelling but idc Little and Gordon had baggage...Maybe no on Spencer but the kid from LSU will be a star in the NFL...Agree with BPA at 6 but please no Bjoern Werner...A pass rushing LB is a need so I thought of Spencer but he does have some wear on.him...I am curious to see how we handle this free agency with the cap space we have...I will be livid if we are not active but very cognizant of what the player has left in him..I completely agree with the above idea of younger cheaper players but then I remember the Usama Youngs of the world

Tyrann Mathieu is one failed drug test away from being a failed draft pick. no way in hell do the Browns take him anywhere before the 4th round and I doubt even then, as they'll be drafting camp fodder at that point.

Pick 6 isn't BPA, it'll be the best fit for the defense since that is what this draft is very heavy on. Chances are it'll be Milliner. After that point, you fill holes with the picks they have after that, especially on the O-line is the value is there.

They'll be more active than last year in FA, but don't expect them to use more than $20 million of that cap space.

Fill holes...ok but with players which have potential to start...you can find value in later rounds which Belichick has become famous for and Lombardi is supposedly a Belichick prot?g?...Ill agree to disagree about Tyrann but his ball hawking skills are above par..Please no Frostee Rucker or Tony Pashos type signings....Players who shuld be brought up on charges for stealing a paycheck...no production whatsoever...We are far away still no matter how we try to fool ourselves...its all a moot point unless we solve our QB quandary...

Are you familiar with Lombardi's work, at all?
