Cleveland Browns (2011 season)

The Lions started playing well after Stafford got healthy and they address their lines. That - was the main reason.
Yep. I'm not sold on any of the QBs as sure things aside from probably Luck. I do like Barkley, and he'd probably be there, but honestly, with this swiss-cheese OL, shitty receivers, and lousy running game...I'm not sure QB is the best pick. I really like Richardson.

I like Richardson too. I'd rather not cut bait on yet another QB without having any type of play makers in the backfield or on the edges.

besides, last year Colt looks at least serviceable with a good running game to back him up. ANY QB not named John Elway or Tom Brady would look the same given his experience and the shit OL that is in front of him.

They're still shitty, always were shitty, and always will be shitty. At this point, I don't give a flying fuck who/what they draft. It makes zero difference. This franchise is cursed and will never win anything.

I thought negative karma was my thing.

Unfortunately the suck that is the Browns sucks much too much for my negative karma to affect it. I'm not strong enough with the force.

we need playmakers period...we cannot, i repeat cannot, trade down in this years draft...unless the deal is pure rape...we have to land a trent richardson, blackmon, RGIII...basically our first pick has to be on offense...i will be fine if we take a defensive player for our 2nd first round pick...we need another corner, LB, DE...2nd rounds and on u take the best player available...as of now here is our draft order

1.8, 1.21 (from ATL), 2.7, 3.6, 4.5, 4.21 (from ATL), 5.4, 6.9, 7.8

i wouldnt even mind trading our 2nd first rounder, a 4th and a 2013 draft pick to move up higher in the first round...as long as its not for a OT...this draft is cruicial as always...with all the money we have saved also, we can finally start paying some FA's to come here...this year is what it is...a bunch of questions...is colt the future? i have always said no...it was pretty evident the seperation from him and seneca wallace is not much after yesterday...sheard is a keeper, haden is a keeper, tj ward is a keeper, thomas is a keeper...little needs more time....everyone else can burn for all i care...finally we have to lose our remaning games which wont be a problem...top 5 pick here we come

I'd add Mack in that keeper list on offense. I think Little has potential as a #2 receiver if he can fix the dropsies. Then MoMass would be a decent #3. This team desperately needs playmakers at RB & WR...plus OL help. The defense is what it is right now...decent...definitely not as bad as we've grown accustomed to. Offense needs to be the priority, though...my IMO. And, for God's sake, get a real OC in here. I can't think of one thing I like about Shurmur, but maybe if you take the OC responsibilities from him, let him concentrate on being a HC, he might be passable. We cannot be looking for another HC again after next year. That shit is getting old.

I must be about the only one not sold on RGIII as a QB in the NFL.

I really do see him as a bigger, faster Antwaan Randel-El
I'm not either. But, I thought Cam Newton would fall flat on his face and he's been pretty good. I'd have more concerns with how he'd fit in a WCO than his "natural ability".

That too.

In looking at a straight skill set, whatshisnuts at Houston would be good in the WCO, but as we know virtually all system QBs at the college level fail in the NFL.

I'd like to see them get Richardson at 4 and then see what is available via a trade up to around 10-15 or so in the 1st.

If the Rams take Blackmon, I would go with Jeffery. Taking a RB that high is bad business.
Jeffery is a fat pig, and has been pretty mediocre this year...45-614, 7 (zero 100 yard games). Granted SC has had QB issues, but Jeffery doesn't look like the type that can elevate a QBs play at all.

Generally speaking, I'd agree that taking a RB that high is a bad idea, but once every few years, a near sure thing comes along. Adrian Peterson was the last I can think of. I think Richardson is in that category. I certainly think he's a better pick than Jeffery. They need a rb as bad as a WR, IMO. Hillis isn't the answer. Hardesty sure as hell isn't either.

I really don't think you needed to remind anyone about those picks:(and I think Stafford might be having the same issues as Colt if he did not have Calvin Johnson or Williams.

This is absolutely true, Johnson bailed Stafford out big time on the winning drive against Oakland. Stafford still has a long way to go to be a high level QB in the NFL. He has definite lapses of concentration and he tends to throw off of his back foot a lot.

The Browns need to protect Colt and get some play makers around him if he is going to remotely have a chance of being successful.
