Classic OSU Games on TV (merged)

ughh..

The attitude towards the National Championship game between 2002 vs 2006 Ohio State are night and day. 2002 was hungry and wanted to win, 2006 was cocky like Miami, only 2006 didn't play with any enthusiasm at all.

Just a quick oberservation.

I love watching the 2002 defense play. That was one of the best D-Lines ever.

Being underappreciated is great. I love going into a year (like this next one) probably not ranked very high in pre-season polls, but with a decent chance to do great. That hunger wins games.

I have to think that the game with Michigan in 2006 was a national championship game atmosphere in the sense that NO. 1 was playing
No. 2 and both teams were sky-high for that one. I think that game
drained both teams to the point where having to wait 47 and 51 days
respectively kind of made it hard for both teams to get up to play
another game. That Michigan//Ohio State was a great game and both
teams left it all out on the field that afternoon. Who knows.......

Boy oh Boy, watching that game NEVER gets old. The roomates and I ordered pizzas and acted as if it were a real game. Its like our "Pre-Season" game before the season starts.

Its also funny, because I find myself yelling at the TV and getting pissed off watching Classic Games, as if I don't even know the outcome. So sad some would think lol

What a great game that was. It was absolutely fabulous especially considering how we were supposed to be such huge underdogs going into the game. The only thing that could have made it better for me is if senile and stupid weren't doing the play by play and commentary for the game. Craig Kressel played great, however I was disappointed Barn Childress couldn't make that catch over the middle.

Keith Jackson, while I think he used to be the best commentator around, really should have stopped doing games by 03.

On a number of times he made outrageous comments that had NOTHING to do with what was going on.

Personally I loved the screenpass that MoC couldn't handle. When Krenzel threw it to him Jackson started shouting "OH THAT PASS WAS NEARLY INTERCEPT...OH WAIT!...and Dan Fouts just cut him off right there about how that was a tough one for MoC to catch.

Man, I sure do love when Time Warner decides when it's time to put ESPN Classic back on digital cable... Like, oh say, during the UK-Arkansas 7OT game.. Personally, I think it's stupid.. The network is over rated except for when they air events like the college football marathon or live events, and shouldn't be on digital.. I'm VERY frustrated!
