Ah yes, folklore, I took a good one with Terry Odlin and had a lot of fun with my final project on the Blackfoot Indians. And I loved those English survey courses: the earlier periods in the British and American series were crucial in my development as an English major.

Okay so I need 17 hours to graduate (7 are for sure in my major) so I need 10 elective hours and I have no clue what to take. Obviously some easy classes that way I can just get through the quarter since I already know I'm not going to want to do much school related...give me some ideas!! Gracias.

Take something with a field trip.

I took a Geology class as a technical elective and we had a field trip to the Blue Ridge mtns - cool trip and fun weekend camp out

I also took a caving class with a field trip to some caves in northern Kentucky - also very fun and different.

My other fluff elective was riflery - it was cool to shoot guns on campus for credit.

Easiest Class: Anything HDFS...plus there was like a 50:1 slut/guy ratio.

Favorite Class: HDFS 670.02 (Human Sexuality)...I am pretty sure it was my third writing course...discussed sex fetishes, positions, orgasms, etc. The professor was very liberal and class discussions were quite comical.

Toughest Class: English 271 (Intro to English Language) There was nothing "intro" about this class. Could not understand the professor (she was foreign) and most students were speech therapy majors.

Worst Class: The entire MEd program for middle childhood. Every class was the same, and sooooo boring. The majority of the professors/advisors were females and all on a female power trip.

I advise anyone considering education to be a HDFS major at tOSU. I studied very little and BS'ed my way through all of the papers. Ended up with a 3.8 when I graduated.

Easiest: Some ENG class where I didn't have to read, attend, write or test... and I took it PDF

Hardest: CHM 301-2 Organic Chemistry series. Yikes. Labs were sweet though.

Favorite: REL 251 The New Testament and Christian Origins with John Gager... great, great class, even better man teaching.

Worst: the required EEB/MOL biology year... utter crap.

Favorite classes?

finance 726 (good subject matter that held my attention)

Worst Classes?

operations (worst professor ever, and too many flow charts. the class was so scatterbrained it was impossible to know what was expected)

Toughest?

accounting 522 (very demanding professor and feared by many finance and accounting students. actually ended up being one of the best teachers i've ever had)

Easiest?

Theater 100 (awesome class, highly recommended if you are still at OSU)

Easiest by far: Ag Comm

The first day of class the professor had us spell out our name on a piece of paper and then put down your personal characteristics corresponding with each letter in your name.

Also Golf was obviously easy.

If I could have, I would have taken every one of my accounting classes with her.

It took me a while to figure our the beauty that is independent studies. You do all of the research work so that some publish or perish new professor has something to publish, and in return you get an "A" for a pass on plagiarizing your stuff.

Plus, any level class that let me drink beer instead of going to class was not good. I won an award in law school on graduation that was essentially the "Laziest/dumbest slug first year with the greatest increase in GPA from year one to graduation Award." I never really trotted that one out in the old resume'.
