uhhhh....noooooo....because I can see where the program was 10 years ago and see the steady changes that have occured in that time and can see the commitment level from the admininstration to doing everything it can to make UC a football school.

I think rational, non UC hating OSU fans would, at the least, acknowledge that progress even if they weren't willing to conceed that it will continue.

I can't fault UC fans for their excitement. What I do fault them for is talking trash to tOSU fans. Look, enjoy the success, you have a great coach (for the time being) and it looks like you could have a very nice year. Unfortunately, Kelly will probably only be there for another year or two, then it's probably back to the type of limited success they experienced with Minter/Dantonio...meaning fighting for Bowl eligibility and the occasional Big East title. WVU will never be the team they were with DickRod again, so their stranglehold is over. UC fans should be the biggest ND fans on the planet. As soon as Fat Charlie slips up, he's out and Kelly is headed to Suth Ben.

Exactly. It seems that UC fans/players don't think they can convince the country that they are a top 25 team unless they trash OSU in the process. I and several other OSU fans that I know of would actually be rooting for UC right now if it hadn't been for the antics of their players, administration, and fans in the past year or so.

This is exactly what I have brought up to some of my friends and family that are UC fans. I started getting snide comments and stuff the day that the AP poll came out. I was like, what do I care if UC is ranked ahead of us in one poll. I actually like to see other ohio teams do well, I think it is good for the state overall when more than one team is doing well. Of course they kept trashing OSU blah, blah blah, At that point I had have enough and pointed out that I never really noticed what a little brother complex UC has with Ohio State, which of course offended said people and made them pull out the, well if OSU, ever played UC we would kick your ass. Which just made me laugh, because we play UC all the time and beat them all the time, and will again next year. All UC is missing at this point is Trev Alberts pumping them up and we could call them Iowa circa 2002

I agree 100%. I don't think I've ever done that. As a fan of one and an alumnus of the other, I find myself defending both programs/teams to the other side in arguments. I, for one, realize UC's run could be short lived and would much rather worry about South Florida than some mythical competition between OSU and UC.
