An homage to 2025
i especially liked the move to let friedl hit vs lefty in their 1 big scoring chance while Dane Myers sits there on the bench. great move
Francona is a no doubter HOF clubhouse manager but he could use a better bench coach.
In game tactical shit is as bad as any non-HOF manager.
Im sure he's a nice kid and all but can we be done with this already? Dude was figured out by the league. It happens. Next man up
Matt McLain over his last 181 games/720 plate appearances:
.215 BA
.301 OBP
.333 SLG
.635 OPS
74 OPS+ (league average 100)
17 HR
59 RBI
We don't have enough next men up in the minors to fill all the gaping holes in this MLB roster.
Cubs look for real this year. Team BA of .26 and a team ERA under 4. In 2026 those are damn good numbers. They still have a few bats that haven't quite woken up too.Swept and Cubs sweep AZ. Awesome

I don't have the energy to waste any sports teams anymore but I remember one game that fueled my disgust against them. 1984, they had just traded for Dennis Eckersley and he was starting against Mario Soto, Wrigley field. Ron Cey hit a long fly ball down the left field line that was at first called a home run then over ruled. It lead to a bench clearing brawl. I'll never forget that game. I also remember a Mario Soto game against the Cubs at Riverfront. Soto struck out 4 Cubs in one inning. One batter, forgot who, reached first on a passed ball on strike 3. Then there was the Tom Browning game where he snuck out of the stadium to watch the game from the rooftop. 80's baseball memories. I saw all 3 games as they happenedhate them so much
