Cincinnati Reds 2023 (sell the team Bob)

Didn't catch the April 8 game but the summary I heard on WLW brought back the pain from the last few years. Nearly flawless game by the starter, the meager offense eeks out just enough production, then one relief pitcher (the relievers all take turns blowing games) blows it. I'm assuming Bell was back in the dugout today and he will never learn how to manage a bullpen and it seems they will never be good enough to consistently bail him out.

They have 3 good starters and a passable offense that only gets better as the weather warms up and they get home games in GABP.

All they had to do was cobble together a solid bullpen and they already have a pretty good closer.

All those arms in camp, in the minors out there in the world and they cant field a MLB level bullpen while the young prospects come up. Could have been an entirely different vibe for the season with a pen.

Nice fucking bullpen Bob.
They are shorthanded with Sims and Santillan down, but the Braves are in the same boat. Santillan would have probably closed that out, or maybe not; you never really know with these guys. We lost Anton the previous two years and I guess he's out of baseball now :(. The competent guys we get in the bullpen go down to injury - just can't win. Hoping Diaz stays healthy.
