Cincinnati Reds 2022 (burn it all down)

The Reds are on a historically putrid 125-loss pace; here's why things may not get better anytime soon
Cincy is off to a historically bad start in 2022

Is it too unsparing, too pitless to call the 2022 Cincinnati Reds the depth and breadth of wretchedness? It says here: Nah, not really.

The current Reds edition, you see, presently sits under the weight of all its peers in the standings with a record of 7-24. Barely a month into the regular season, the Reds are already 12 1/2 games out of first place in the NL Central. It also says something that the Reds right now are enjoying somewhat improved fortunes. After cratering at 3-22 through their first 25 games of the season, the Reds have since gone 4-2 -- a stretch that includes a series win over the first-place Brewers. Related content forthcoming:

Guess the rest of the world is finally catching up to BuckeyePlanet again. Edit: The lazy fucks just put articles on top of one another instead of it's own page so it's below the Yankees article if you care to read it, which if you read this thread, you already have

In this historically bad POS of a season, there are a couple of actual bright spots it seems so far.

1. Brandon Drury. An actual 3B that if put in the lineup from last season the Reds are in the playoffs and make some noise. He's in the top 20 of HRs, RBIs and now OPS which is amazing considering the team.

2. Rookie RP Alexis Diaz. Pitched his 16th inning today and brought his ERA down to 0.55 with 18K's and 7Walks. His WHiP is about 0.87. He'll either be sold off at the break or realize "Reds" and come back to Earth.

If the cheap fucking assholes in the front office could have plugged these guys into last years lineup, they'd be leading the fucking NL Central. Fuck the Castellinis and every other asshole who owns a piece of this.
