Very strange trade for Cincinnati. Bauer should be mostly great in the NL but pitching in GABP is less than ideal for him. Reds must be convinced that Trammell is a bust to deal him for about 1.33 years of Bauer.

Cleveland really didnt want to pay Bauer ~17 million next year, and they have some starting pitching depth. Bauer is only under contract one more season after this one.
