Cincinnati Reds 2018 season (It's that time of year again)

Right. I meant going forward in Suarez’s contract. Arenados at the end of his second deal making $17.5 already.

Since the Cubs and Cardinals are set at 3B, I’m just assuming Arenado is a Yankee next year.

I'd put Alex Bregman ahead of Suarez right now too...

Nah - they got Andujar and have to find room for Gleyber Torres and Gregorius isn't going anywhere...

Figure Arenado ends up somewhere on the West Coast since he's a California guy.

Why the Reds may be the best bet in baseball

...

The Reds cashed at +160 and +210 in Cleveland before the monster loss.

Cincy also cashed at +165, +150, +140, and three times around +125 during this recent run.

...

Behind this surge, a potent offense that ranks No. 1 in the National League in “Weighted Runs Created Plus” (park-adjusted offense) and “Wins Above Replacement” the past 30 games (using the sort feature at fangraphs.com). Amazingly, the recent Reds would grade out as an elite American League offense even though they don’t get to use a designated hitter.

Let’s see if the Reds can stay focused and get some revenge on the Cardinals, who won nine of 10 early meetings before Cincinnati flipped its switch.

After the All-Star break, many MLB powers will be close to un-bettable because of extremely high money lines. You’ll need to find value investments that the market keeps underrating. Cincinnati deserves your attention until proven otherwise.

"I'd keep the guy we got," Brennaman said. "I think Jim Riggleman has done an incredible job, and he's done some things that are not readily evident to the people who follow this club. He has instilled a level of discipline on this team that I have not seen from a Reds manager since Davey Johnson managed this club back in the mid-1990s. And before that Lou Piniella, and before that John McNamara.

"He's gotten in the faces of a number of players about things that have occurred. And with due respect to Bryan Price, who I love and is one of the great people I've ever known in the game, Jim Riggleman has managed this club with an iron hand. And the players know it."
