Elder at La Salle
WHEN/WHERE: 7:30 p.m. today at La Salle HS, 3091 North Bend Road.
RECORDS: Elder 2-2 (0-0 GCL-S), La Salle 3-1 (0-0).
WHAT TO WATCH: Elder allowed 471 total yards in last week's 34-17 home loss to Lakewood St. Edward. Offensively, Panthers QB Nick Zeiser accounted for 194 total yards. Elder must tighten up defensively, especially with La Salle QB Tyler Sheehan (Bowling Green recruit) returning. Sheehan broke a collarbone in the season opener. La Salle junior QB Brian Jacob has started in Sheehan's absence. Last week, Jacob rushed for 110 yards and one TD and threw for 51 yards and another TD in a 34-0 win at Louisville Butler.
BOTTOM LINE: La Salle has not beaten Elder since 1992. The Lancers believe they can break through this time, but Elder holds the psychological edge of 12 straight wins in this series.
La Salle 38, Purcell Marian 3
Senior Tyler Sheehan was 7-of-12 passing for 186 yards and two touchdowns and had 55 yards and one touchdown rushing for La Salle. Sophomore Kendall Owens rushed five time times for 100 yards, including 57 on a scoring run.

Just before the 7:30 p.m. kickoff, members of the Selection
