Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

Bengals offense was clicking along until right guard, Lucas Patrick, had to leave with a calf injury. Then rushing, passing, pass pro all seemed to decline, especially in the 2nd half.

Ugh, Bengals - get your calves ready for the season.

I noticed Joe seemed to hold onto the ball too long in the 2nd half last week, as the Browns were mauling the OLine. One play at their own 5 it looked like he had JChase wide open for a screen to the left, but just took the sack. Then today they start playing like the Bengals again with Browning (not nearly as wealthy as Joe) and scored 3 td's.

I don't know how to process the possibility that a backup might be playing better than the $50M/year starting QB. But again, I didn't see any of it. (Browning did throw 3 int's - oops.)

He does that too much. It’s like the thought of a 5 yard check down is beneath him. Yes, the line sucks. His arrogance at times make it look much worse. The play he got hurt on is a prime example.
