Somebody posted on X.com two incredible facts.

1). Bengals have scored over 33 points four different times this season and their record in those games is 0-4
When other NFL teams have done it, their record is 26-1

2). Fact #1 is the first time that's ever happened in NFL History.


This is simply incomprehensible bad luck. With offseason acquisitions, tweaks to the roster this is a team that can advance to the mean and get to 10-11 wins next year. Should be playing a 4th place schedule which will help as well.
FWIW - I know he is a popular pin cushion, but this doesn't seem to be totally Zach Taylor's fault, it's his offense and it's scoring in bunches.
Get the Defense to simply be "average" and this team will improve a lot.


***Side note - I've seen some Mock Drafts take Ebuka or the Boise Running back in the draft.

Our defense absolutely sucks. It is the worst I have watched in the NFL. They can't tackle a kid in the Pop Warner league unblocked. That is all the synopsis you need really. The offense can't be expected to score a TD on every drive. We better not win another game and draft nothing but OL and DL.

Do you really trust this FO to draft the right player? And if they do how many players does this same FO allow to walk?

And that's the problem we all know is there. I'm not giving up on the team as a fan, but I see signs of a dreary outlook going forward. It's like telling my dog advice that doesn't comprehend it, but at least he's handsome and a good boy.

We have to burn this down but no new hire will overcome mis-management of this franchise. I won't keep watching but I'm so furious even though I know what to expect.

Bengals are in the same place the Brownies were a few years ago.

The trench play, especially on the Dline, is causing the whole thing to fall apart. It's been a treat watching the offense. Even an average defense and they'd be in a place to win the north.

A waste of a special year from Joey Buckets.

Agreed with all of this, but especially the bolded. The DL play has been atrocious and has costed us a lot of games this year. That trickles back to the back 7 with the LBs not being in good position due to the DL and the secondary in having to cover for too long. The you have major scheme issues with the coaching staff.

I guess I'll watch just for Burrow knowing the playoff chances are toast, but a waste of a special year from Joe (and Jamar) is right. To have a franchise QB and WR play at this level and an offense that puts up this many points have the record they do is so frustrating.
