Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

“Good hard hit by Peppers” on the next play... 12 yards past the line of scrimmage.

Story of his career. At least he’s actually making tackles, rather than letting people run right past him.

Nice hit Jerbil! Fucking idiot.

These announcers can’t stop sucking the Browns dick, either. Clearly helmet to helmet contact, and they’re in complete denial and complaining about it.

Right?!? Crown of the helmet to then chin and Lofton is saying he led with the shoulder.....no idea what he's watching.

And then he got up clapping at Mixon like it was a 5 yard loss. :slappy:

That is not a penalty, he was coming in from the side, he didn't launch his head intentionally up through his chin.

They called it because he knocked him on his butt and football has become wussified by rules, plain and simple. That was almost as bad as jection call as Ward got a few weeks back for Buckeyes.

Doesn’t matter his intention, if he hits him in the chin with the crown of his helmet, it’s a penalty. Plain and simple.

They called it a hit on a defenseless player, not contact to head, they didn't factor that part in at all. Also the NFL certainly does not call targeting on anywhere near the level the NCAA does. They said he was defenseless, such a joke, but it's what they called.

So the ref didn’t use the right terminology, doesn’t make it any less of a penalty. It’s certainly not the first time a ref has gotten the incorrect terminology on a call. They’re both personal fouls.

Yeah, you know as well as I do they called it because he hit him hard. That was barely any contact to his chin even, it was a weak arse call in the weak arse football rules anymore. I guarantee if that was an OSU defender hitting a Michigan player like that everyone would lose their minds over the call.

He didn't use the terminology because they saw nothing wrong with where he hit him.

Alas, it's clear you are going to ignore the obvious, it doesn't matter anyhow, Browns suck, games over, moving on.

You’ve clearly not seen my critical comments on Ryan Shazier’s questionable hits that have gone uncalled simply because he plays for the Steelers, then. That’s a poor argument. If you can’t see that it was obviously a personal foul, regardless of what terminology he chose to use, then I don’t know what to tell you. Was the call the difference between the Browns being 1-10 and 0-11? Doubtful. So let’s move on.
