Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

So let me get this straight: The Bengals are going to the Super Bowl, Brady and Big Ben are done, Rodgers may be done, and Harbaugh is interviewing with the Vikings on national signing day? My heart is full.

The world is going to pay dearly for this. The Bengals better fuckin' win.

I'm fully on the bandwagon until next season.

They better win after I paid so much for my ticket haha. Although I saw how much prices have gone up since I bought mine and seriously considering selling at this point. Wallet over heart/experience of a lifetime?

On game strategy, there's not a chance in hell we can protect Joe. Going to have to throw screens/quick passes and scheme where the pressure gets in from just like we did pretty well against KC...I know the Rams DL is far better than KC, but the same concept will apply because we won't be able to block the Rams straight up. Defense has also gotta bend and not break, but they have been playing lights out in the playoffs and Lou has been calling great schemes, so I have some (perhaps misguided) faith in them to hold up enough to keep us in it.

Texas salesman 'Mattress Mack' places $4.5 million bet on Cincinnati Bengals to spring Super Bowl LVI upset

Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale, the Houston furniture salesman known to place giant hedge bets, has done it again -- this time with the biggest single wager he's ever placed.

On Thursday, McIngvale drove across the Texas border into Louisiana, pulled over at a gas station, logged onto his mobile betting account with Caesars Sportsbook and placed $4.5 million in bets on the underdog Cincinnati Bengals at +170 odds to upset the favored Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. If the Bengals spring the upset, the bet would net $7.7 million.

"I had to make like twenty $200,000 bets to make it work," McIngvale told ESPN on Thursday night. "But I want to thank Caesars for taking it."

Dear lord that is a huge wager on the Bengals, but I love it since it isn't my money. Got my flight and hotel booked this weekend, will get to LA on Saturday morning and leave Monday night. Hotel is only an 8 minute drive to SoFi, so that is nice. Gotta find something fun to do on Saturday, might hit Beverly Hills or Santa Monica (or both) that day just to check it off the bucket list, just want something chill and not get crowded since negative covid tests are required. Any recommendations from people who have lived/traveled there are more than welcome, I have never been to that area of CA.

Venice Beach is pretty weird. A spice company, Lawry's, runs a prime rib restaurant that's a pretty big bang for the buck, especially if you're into prime rib. they used to host a pre-Rose Bowl dinner for the two teams with a trophy to the team that ate the most beef that night. Will Rodger's ranch is interesting. If you're into art deco, Grauman's Chinese Theatre is the what-if-Mao Tes Tung-had-decided-to-be-an-art-deco-architect place to be.
