Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

Omg what a season this has been. Never in a million years did I think we'd be here. I can't even fathom how we pulled that off but I'll say this, we goddamned earned that win and every win that got us here. Burrow is beyond a legend, what unbelievable play in critical moments, holy guacamole.

Burrow is obviously the man and the main reason we got here, but soooo many other players deserve credit. Off the cuff, yes the Buckeye Bengals balled out...Bell, Hubbard, Burrow and Apple all played their asses off. Specifically, that last play from Hubbard where he flew out of nowhere felt like it was seriously for all of Ohio, stuff legends are made of. Then "I love my team, I love my city, we've got one more to win" from Sam after the game, I think it makes a huge difference that you have southern Ohio boys that care for Cincy, don't think we've ever really had that in the past. So much more fun winning when it's our Buckeyes doing it. Then you have McFearhim just unflappable, mf is cold blooded. I don't know exactly how it came to be, but this is truly a championship team that has EARNED their spot into the Super Bowl even if our jaws are still dropped that it happened.

To that point, your boy will be in LA at the SB and it'll be my first one ever. Win or lose (win) it should be a really fun experience. Time to find some fun stuff to do in LA for the SB weekend.
The Bengals first Super Bowl Team had Archie and Pete Johnson. Dick LeBeau was DB coach. The 81 - 82 team had Pete Johnson and Ray Griffin. It didn't help that running back Stanley Wilson went AWOL the night before the game. I used his story for years with kids in my classroom - "Imagine you're Stanley Wilson. All you have to do is stay straight, play one game of football, and win or lose you're walking out with a check for $10,000. Imagine how strong the pull of cocaine must be to cause you to give that up."

As for Tim Krumrie - I remember the year the Dallas Cowboys came to town. The Cowboys center, Tom Rafferty, claimed he'd never heard of "What's his name... Krum... Krummer... Krummey ?" Krumrie proceeded to give Rafferty a day of schooling - nine tackles, two assists, one fumble forced, and one fumble recovered, as the Bengals rolled the Cowboys 50 to 24.

Did not know any of that, hopefully we right the ship this year and bring home the ship. Cincy needs that. I will tell the loudest I've ever yelled and back our boys. I can't wait for this weekend, never thought it would ever happen.

Did Mixon fumble?? You be the judge. (OU running backs NEVER fumble!)

Looks like he was touched by #55 as he was falling. Anyways, I think the refs made the right decision b/c he made no effort to advance. Here is the rule.
Rule 7.4.1:
An official shall declare dead ball and the down ended:

(a) when a runner is out of bounds or declares himself down by falling to the ground and makes no effort to advance.
