Why the hell do you care what Ohio State fans think/say?

Good on ya for a great season and all that, but why all the "look at us! acknowledge us!!!" crap? Your ranking is all the validation you should need.

P.S. I think the Buckeyes would beat the Bearcats head to head in 2009.

Right.... So preseason rankings don't matter?? The Big East got ahead of Big Ten teams BECAUSE THEY WERE WINNING! Using your reasoning, it doesn't matter if you are preseason number 1 or not because preseason rankings don't matter.. that doesn't make any sense...

Round and round we go. Give me a scenario where, right now, Pitt should be ranked ahead of Iowa or tOSU. Go ahead, I'm on pins and needles here. Should they not have been penalized for losing to a mediocre wvu? If they were, say #11 preseason, and climb into the top 10 after going 3-0, they drop big after losing to a BAD NC state team. In what scenario do they deserve to be ranked higher than they are at 9-2? They haven't beaten anybody worth a damn. UC is as high as they could hope to be with the teams that are ahead of them regardless of preseason polls. I'm really struggling to see your logic at all. Give me a scenario. Any scenario.

BECAUSE PITT has 2 losses, so do the BIG ten teams, and THE BIG TEAMS ARE RANKED HIGHER... PITT WAS HIGHER BEFORE BECAUSE THEY HAD ONLY ONE LOSS....BEcause they were ranked higher in the preseason... THEY ARE RANKED HIGHER WHEN THEY HAVETHE SAME NUMBER OF WINS>.... LOGIC MFER

You are right... PITT HAS BEATEN NO ONE!!! I agree... MY only Point is that IF.. IF they had a high preseason ranking they would be right where PENN STATE IS WHO ALSO HASNT BEATEN ANYONE WORTH A DAMN!!!!!

Hey, I loathe most of The Other State Universities for reasons that have nothing to do with football much less one team's little window of transitory success.

The irony is that most people on this board have a predisposition to support all "ohio football." It's only the pathetic antics of UC's administration along with the comments from Grillz That Killz and the little brother fanbase that's made UC so loathed around here.

Did Florida fans have to respect USF when they were good for a while? How about USC...do they have to respect Cal or UCLA when they have good seasons? Respect is something earned, not given. And earning respect from a perennial Top 10 fanbase takes more than just 1 or 2 seasons. Cincinnatti should be focused on taking the next 5 years and earning respect, if respect is that important to them. Don't start beating your chests after 1 or 2 seasons. It really belittles you.

If Oregon State beats Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, UC will be pretty far from my mind. Actually, as it is, it's not a "lack of respect" for my part. It's a plain lack of interest at all.

You can say "UC is the better team" until you're blue in the face. You might as well say UC is better than the Browns. I could give a rats ass about your conjecture.

They're ranked lower now because they lost later in the season. That's the way the polls work. That's the way they've always worked. If you had been around big boy football for longer than 14 months, you'd realize that.
