Cincinnati at OHIO STATE

I can never bet against Ohio State. With the way our second string line played against Texas (in the entire first scoring drive, major confidence booster) and Beanie and Maurice backing up Pittman, I'm hoping we accidently "run up the score" and beat them by 30. I think we have a good shot on this spread.

I was initially going to say this line is inflated, but, Cincy was awful last year, barely improved thus far.
It sounds like a mountain of points, and with JT not likely to want to rub D'Antonio's nose in the dirt maybe he goes second string too early. Still, if we can outpace the spread in Texas to the tune of 19 points this may be one of three times this season you see a huge blow-out.
(Bowling Green being one of the other two).

Just a reminder to everyone, coach Dantonio is on the other sideline with a lot of other previous friends and family. Tressel will not blow them out, you can count on that. The question you have to ask yourself is, are our 3rd stringers 15 points better than their 1st stringers. It'll be 28-3 or 28-7 at the half and we'll see Boeckman and Wells/Wells most of the 3rd and 4th I would guess. If not the game is too close to cover anyway!

If our running game is as good as I think it will be be I think we won't be able to help beating the spread even if we do nothing but run the ball from the second quarter on. If the bucknuts depth chart on Cinci is correct they have a starting defensive line that goes:

DE 6'1" 245
DT 6'1" 285
DT 6'0" 235 ()
DE 6'2" 258

I think we light it up on the ground Saturday.

Then again, it is a tough spread, but call me optomistic. :)

Goals for this game, or atleast what I think would be cool to see:

- Shutout - their offense is terrible
- Holding them to under 100 yards rushing
- 200+ Rushing, 300+ passing

I'd like to see Beanie's first (of many) 100+ yard rushing, multiple TD game.

P.S. not saying Beanie will replace Pittman, I just think the backups will get a lot of PT this week.
