High School Cincinnati Area HS Football

Agreed. Sycamore is the most affluent public school in Ohio. They compare favorably with many private schools, in part due to their significant Jewish and Muslim populations (who wouldn't feel as comfortable going to a Jesuit school).

I remember their facilities, both for academics and athletics, as being ridiculously nice for a high school (this was 10 years ago). The entire school was carpeted. The only school that I have personally seen with better facilities is Harvard Westlake in Beverly Hills.

From the wikipedia entry for Sycamore, some of the highlights of their academics:

It's also interesting to note, from looking at the wikipedia entry, that Sycamore's recent success in football parallels Bud Golden's years as their feature back.

I know this is getting off topic but I think Indian Hill, about 15 minutes away, is certainly more affluent. It is also the highest ranked public school in Ohio. Just bragging because my kids go there. And don't worry, I am from the poor section of Indian Hill schools, I live in Kenwood.

Even more off topic for you Frohlich, but I agree with you on Indian Hill being the premier public school outside of Sycamore and Walnut Hills. But I hate to tell you that Kenwood isn't technically in Indian Hill, the poor part of Indian Hill is Camp Denison(and please don't take this personally I'm only joking) I know all of this because I went to the snobby private school around the corner from where your kids go, Cincinnati Country Day.

Ok, back to the topic, I really like this Golden kid, he seems like he would fit in well in the line of big, sturdy but fast RBs that have been attending tOSU. He got very overshadowed this year with the likes of Dominc Sherrer(Colerain) and Darius Ashley(St. X). But he should have a coming out party this year, but the only thing is that he might be facing a lot more of 8 in the box defenses, from some major D-1 programs in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Didn't say I lived in Indian Hill, just said my kids go there. About 1/2 of Kenwood goes to Indian Hill. That is why we bought the house we did, so our kids could go to school in Indian Hill. I grew up in Madeira by the way and two of my neighborhood friends went to Cincinnati Country Day. Expensive but very prestigious private High School. How the hell did you end up on BuckeyePlanet hanging out with us regular plebeians :)

Back on topic, I might go to see see Bud play this year. I love to go watch high school football games when I can.
