Cincinnati 29, Hawai'i 24 (Final)

smack talk aside...I can't help but pull for Cincy.

I was happy to see Brandon Underwood make a pick 6. I root for Terrell Byrd, a great DT who wanted an tOSU offer, but was deemed undersized, and his grades weren't good enough. DJ Woods, former OSU commit, returns kicks and plays some wideout.

I enjoy seeing those guys, not to mention all of the other Ohionans on the roster. I think a strong showing by Cincy in the Orange, would be good for Ohio High school considering how many Ohio kids rae on their roster.
+ Isaiah Pead at runningback.

Roster is filled with guys that were close to being Buckeyes. Fun to follow along and see them having success as a team.

and for those following along Hawaii coughs up the lead and cincy wins. Hawaii is the dirtiest team I've ever seen. Guys with no regard for the rules just out there hitting people, from behind, after plays are over, etc No wonder nobody wants to go out there and play them, just shameful :shake:

I've read the Hawaii Bowl is a possibility for Notre Dame. Sounds like a good matchup to me. :tongue2:

Why do you think it's laughable? Milli called this in another thread in mid-week saying UC would struggle and that he fully expected Hawai'i to win. Once UC woke up, they completely dominated the fourth quarter of the football game. Hawai'i didn't have a first down after the no call on the fumble and TD.

ahhh...who cares, right? They went 4,000+ miles and won a football game. Thank goodness it wasn't the Ohio Bobcats they were playing. They might have lost.
:wink2:

Mili wasn't saying it would happen to a "big brother" type powerhouse team. He was saying that these guys think they are WAY better than they are and that Hawaii would show them that.

You may be right. Hawaii would be less than a touchdown favorite over Ohio on a neutral field and a field goal underdog to Troy.

Cincinnati were extremely lucky to win against a very weak team that is looking up in the power ratings at Appalachian State, Wofford, Richmond, James Madison, Western Michigan, Buffalo, William & Mary, Stanford, Bowling Green, well, I guess you get the point. They have dropped to a much more realistic #28 in the Sagarins (#36 in the most accurate Predictor model, which is where they were before the game yesterday).

Ohio State lost to the #1 and #5 (in a close game) teams in the power ratings.

Cincy are almost exactly equivalent in SOS and Predictor power ranking to Northwestern. They had a good year and many of us are very happy for them, but this nonsense about them being a football power is laughable.
