I think the poli forum itself should be perma-banned. Nothing good comes out of there unless it's all people with similar views stroking one another's posts. It's easy to get pissed off when you are getting ganged up on.

Politics, like religion, incite extreme levels of passion and passion often leads to blood descending from or to the head at nascar like speeds. Debate becomes argument quickly. Arguments are generally not "winnable." Just a whole lot of screaming going on.
