The SEC takes their football very seriously, as we all know. Don't know the details of his contract but I wouldn't be surprised if they doubled or even tripled his salary.

Objectively I don't see this ending very well for him.

Dan Hawkins has had some issues at Colorado and the SEC West makes the Big XII North (outside of Mizzou) look like the JV. I could see him trying to install his system (especially the offensive side) and not having the right people for at least 3 years.

That said, if he can keep building that defense they'll be just fine too although they'll peak at about 7-5 or 8-4 or so. We will see.
