Chiefs at Browns(-1.5)

What a bitchfight this game was. Hats off to KC for finding a way to start 2-0, but this is one of the worst teams in the last 20 years. They will lose at least 10 games by 14 points or less, meaning they can compete but have no chance of winning. Ever.

Thats the second week in a row where they not only failed to make adjustments at the half, but failed to score any points in the second half. They need to get rid of Daboll. His pffense is predictable and slow. He's awful.

This game has smelly offensive cluster[censored] written all over it. That said, Cleveland will find a way to blow it in the 2nd half right as the Chiefs are finding a way to win it like they did last week, so yeah, pretty much.

hahaha!
How are you at picking lottery numbers Bucklion?

That version of the Browns was actually competitive before leaving town. If this band of [censored]tards won so much as a Punt Pass Kick contest in a new city I'd eat my shirt.

One of the best things about the NFL is the parity in the league. Even consistently poor teams have good years or good runs every once in awhile. I don't mean this as an insult, but I'm kinda surprised the Browns haven't had their run yet.

Most poor franchises you can look at this team and say "fix this, fix that...etc"
Not sure how you fix the Browns.

Well, they did go to the playoffs once under Butch Davis, and would've gone a few years ago if they didn't choke down the stretch.

They've never really fixed anything though - just lucked into a couple fluke seasons with easy schedules.

Where to begin.

Offense adjustments. Simply put, there are none. Second week we've seen opposing defense's come out with a new game-plan after the half and its the second week that offensive production has gone to the wind.

This offensive in general has been a complete letdown - and AFAIC doesn't deserve the defense they have been paired with. The line needs to blow people off the ball in the running game, and the right side simply can't do it.

Seneca - he's a journeyman QB, I expect nothing amazing. The two times Robo beat his man deep the ball just sailed a bit too far, nice look by Wallace no doubt, but the passes just aren't there. MM had a great adjustment to the ball on his incompletion, he just needs to be strong and hold onto that thing for dear life.

But he rolls out of the pocket really fast and you can tell our tackle's aren't use to that type of mobility (couple holding calls)

Ryan's boy's have been playing hard with a couple bad breaks (no calls/bad calls) thrown there way, but they are the real reason why these losses haven't been by double digits or more. You don't have flashy play-makers, you don't have that stud defender, but what you have are 11 guys playing well as a unit (save for Elam, he's still complete garbage) I also might add, I love how our rookies look for contact. Ward and Haden want to hit people: Example: Jones on that stretch left in the late 3rd. Haden while playing special teams.

If you lose the turnovers from Week 1 and now, Brownies start 2-0. I dont have to look any further then that, take care of the ball - play sound defense. The latter is happening, the former isn't.

You'll never see this team draft Mallet. Holmgren does pride himself on building QB's, and taking a 1st rounder, possible #1 overall just won't happen barring complete and utter disaster. By the by, if this team draft's Jake Locker I'm going to become a Packers fan, he's another player who has the physical tools but nothing more. Real QB's are made by being good where it counts - upstairs.

Taking a run at Vincent Jackson and Hawk would be smart of this office. You get instant upgrades and this allows you to narrow down your positions for the draft. And yes my friends, it's only week 2 and I'm already talking about the draft.

That said, I will be applying for offensive coordinator once Daboll is fired. I'll take 1/10 of the salary and still probably be game to run a better show. I honestly believe that man might be legally retarded.

a lot of people are saying that we should fire mangini and that the obvious choice would be john gruden. he's a homlgren guy with a ring. however, i think it would be a terrible choice. his biggest success came under what tony dungy built and when he put his own guys into the system, he struggled and ultimately failed. his offense was never that good in tampa and he was thought of as an offensive guy. he may be the most overrated coach in the past decade.

it's just speculation from people at the bar i work at and the browns forum i belong to. no tv or internet speculation, just what i've been hearing from the fans. i figure i might as well throw my two cents out there before everyone calls for mangini's head. i think they shoudl let him finish the season to see how he does. daboll however, needs to go now. he is predictable and runs a slow offense.

If Mangini survives October, I'll be shocked. As for who they should hire, I'm not sure it matters. Paul Brown himself could come back from the dead and this franchise would probably still suck. It's a curse...you cannot convince me otherwise.
