I live just a few blocks from a well known retired NFL QB and once you leave the residential area and go to the mainstreet there's crackheads and homeless people, you have to be careful even pulling into the QT to fill up your tank

On one hand you see that drug addiction and metal health issues are rampant in our society and you know it needs to be looked at in a responsible, realistic way. Why are so many people, so sick?

OTOH, right now, real physical safety is an issue. We are stressing the belief in the rule of law, which is really the only thing that keeps this shit show together, to the nth degree.

I don't know how you balance those things but I do know people who have the means can typically live/work from wherever they want to so if cities want to be populated by any group other than drug addicts and transients they better figure something out.

Beirut is lovely but current circumstances don't make it an attractive place to live and raise a family if you know what I mean.
