Chicago Bulls (6x NBA Champions)

I would kill for the Bulls to take Rose, but they just won't do it. Only way I see that happening is if they can package up some of their guards for an inside scorer, and there just aren't many of those up for sale these days.

Sounds right. I've read everywhere, they want Beasley, then ship off Gooden and Thomas. I'm still a big fan of Rose.

This is already a few days old, but I didn't see it until today:

Charlotte Bobcats seek buyer (Dealscape - Pipeline)

The National Basketball Association's Charlotte Bobcats have hired Galatioto Sports Partners LLC to explore a sale of the team. Salvatore Galatioto, the advisory firm's founder, said the process is in its early stages but that the team has already received "a fair amount of interest." He declined to say how many books were sent out or who was being targeted.

A source familiar with the auction said basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, who already owns a minority stake in the team, is one likely bidder. It is not known whether Jordan has hired a financial adviser or submitted a bid. David Falk, one of Jordan's agents, declined to comment when reached by The Deal.

Source: Chicago Bulls set to announce Vinny Del Negro firing - ESPN Chicago
Source: Del Negro set to be fired

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls are set to announce the firing of coach Vinny Del Negro on Tuesday, according to a source.

Sources said that Bulls general manager Gar Forman met with Del Negro on Monday. As part of the Bulls' organizational meetings over the past couple of days, Forman also met with other members of the Bulls hierarchy about Del Negro's future. Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf spoke to Del Negro over the weekend, when the coach made an argument to keep his job.

Del Negro has one year worth approximately $2 million remaining on a guaranteed three-year contract.

Contd......

All the talk in the East is about Boston, Miami and now New York but the Bulls are looking awfully good with Boozer and Noah back. Rose is playing out of his mind, and they're only 2 games back from the top seed.

I would love for them to spoil the party in southbeach. Especially since they built this team without the help of collusive superstar bs.

+1 Fuck the Heat....

Looks like I'm rooting for the Bulls, never thought I would say that! (post Jordan at least)

Saw the Bulls-Pacers game today. One of the most entertaining basketball games I've ever seen. Hard work, great D, exceptional play by a superstar (Derrick Rose), great play by a guy they said would be a "mediocre pro" (Tyler Hansbrough). I really like the Pacers' backup center Jeff Foster, too.

I wish the Pacers had won, but what a terrific game. But I learned I hate the Bulls. On top of having the annoying Joakim Noah, apparently Luol Deng has somehow become a prime dickhead since leaving Duke. Pfui.
