Chicago Bears (official thread)

Miami Dolphins agree to trade WR Jakeem Grant to the Chicago Bears for '23 pick, source says

The Dolphins have traded wide receiver Jakeem Grant to the Chicago Bears, the team announced Tuesday.

The Dolphins will receive a 2023 sixth-round pick, the NFL Network first reported and a source confirmed to ESPN.

Grant, the Dolphins' primary returner since they drafted him in the sixth round in 2016, is one of the NFL's best special teams players with five return touchdowns in his career; he ranks 11th among active players in non-offensive touchdowns. He was voted a second-team All-Pro last season, one year after signing a four-year, $19.7 million extension in 2019.

They needed a returner since theirs has to start at RB, Herbert the rook.

Almost like when the Browns refused to use Chubb more than 3 plays a game even though he was clearly the best back on the team. There's a reason all of those ass clowns got fired halfway through the season. They had to trade Hyde in order to force them to play Chubb. Regardless of how the season goes for the Bears I think Nagy is done, but they'll be looking for a coach that wants Fields as his QB.

"I would say I was a little bit surprised, but not really crazy surprised," Fields said. "But definitely a little bit of surprise. ... I feel like my teammates believe in me, so I'm just grateful for the opportunity and just gonna get ready to work."

That kinda sucks as a Dolphins fan but I'm paying a lot more attention to the Bears these days. As a slot guy he can do damage if he stays on the field and there's the special teams stuff obviously.

Better Oline and a couple freaks at WR and Chicago's Offense will fly with Fields. He gets time and throws lasers but he's often running for his life.
Herbert shows some promise at RB.

Just can't make any mistakes at the moment for him because his team around him aren't good enough to help him make up for those mistakes.
