Actually what I usually do is find the brand and model number of whatever it is that I want to buy and search for it on sites like Pricefish.com, or cnet.com, or shopper.com. There are plenty of places to find great deals, you just have to look in the right places.

Great site and whatnot yes, just watch out for the rebates, cause half the time you will never get them back

If the rebates run through onrebate.com they are reliable. If you don't mind giving up a dollar or 2 from your rebate you can usually have it from paypal within 2 weeks of receiving the product. You can get the full rebate if you wait for them to mail it to you. With the other rebates you have a pretty good shot as long as you keep on them and document everything you send. My buddy bought one of the barebones computer specials and they screwed up his rebate and accidentally doubled it. He was supposed to get the computer for $200 and ended up spending less than $100. :p

I have had nothing but horrid experiences with onrebate. It is like flipping a coin as to whether you will get your money back or not. Bought a monitor before christmas that had a $90 rebate through onrebate. They gave me some bullshit excuse about the serial number, and basically I am out that $90. Hence they can go fuck themselves
