https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-stat...reshman-back-in-action-for-the-nittany-lions/As stated, I used PFF for snap counts. Seems like a reliable source for that info. He literally had 34 snaps the entire second half of the season. For reference, Hill had 44 snaps in the SEC championship game alone. You have to look at how a player progresses through a season, and again, PSU LB corps was injured and their defense was awful. Wouldn’t you put a high ceiling player on the field under those conditions? The other problem is that he doesn’t seem to fit what we do. Sounds like more of a 3-4 standup speed rusher if he can’t hold the edge.
He was injured most of the 2nd half of the season. So that several affected his snap count. But he had no problem causing havoc in the OsU game or most of the games he played. He’s only a true freshman also, he will get bigger and stronger, he’s not a finished product. And he was a mid season All Conference player. Idk why he couldn’t get up to 255-260lbs by next season which is the same size as Atkinson and George, he’s a DE and not a LB. And he’s of similar size to Sitanlei who plays along the line, He had his hands in the dirt this season so that shouldn’t be a problem here. Both are similar players with Coleman playing more in game reps which would only help next year. He will need to work on stopping the run, and that’s why he didn’t play against Iowa, but his pass rushing has a high ceiling
