Charlie Weis (ex-Kansas HC, ex-Fla OC, Notre Dame legend, UnDecided Schematic Advantage)

Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis, who never saw the Irish play the Wolverines while he was a student at Notre Dame, called the announcement great news.
"This rivalry is good for both schools and college football," he said.
He then turned away from the microphone and was seen mouthing the words, "Shit! Shit! Shit!"

Weis is cocky without cause and ND isn't U of Football anymore....they are living in the past in South Bend b/c their present and future under Weis is bleak at best....

'In a small way trying to help'
Weis breaks ground on center inspired by daughter

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -- Charlie Weis smiled broadly as he gave his 12-year-old daughter a high-five Saturday, moments after they broke ground on a residential center for developmentally disabled adults.

"Because of her, there's going to be a lot of people who have a lot better lives," the Notre Dame football coach said.

Hannah inspired Weis and his wife, Maura, to create Hannah and Friends, a charity that seeks to improve the quality of life for those with special needs. Hannah has global development delay, a form of mental retardation.

They created the charity after the coach nearly died of internal bleeding following gastric bypass surgery in June 2002 while he was offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots.

The charity is building a 30-acre facility that will include caretaker living quarters, a recreation center and 16 residence homes for developmentally disabled adults. Maura Weis said there are 10,000 people in Indiana alone in need of such a place.

From ESPN.com announcement of Quinn signing:

Having missed the first 10 days of training camp, Quinn, 22, faces a considerable catch-up period at a position where the learning curve is already difficult. Although he performed in a sophisticated offense at Notre Dame, and under the tutelage of coach Charlie Weis, who is famous for developing quarterbacks, Quinn struggled in the spring workouts and minicamps

Uh, other than Tom Brady, name one QB this bum "developed?"

Weis: Strike me dead if I say 'rebuilding'
By Brian Hamilton | Tribune staff reporter 10:39 PM CDT, August 6, 2007

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The turf sizzled, almost like a fajita plate. You could all but wring the moisture out of the densely humid air.

But as Notre Dame began preseason camp on a face-melting Monday afternoon, dew points and UV rays weren't what had it running a tad hot.

Over the next 26 days, the Irish must establish a new running back, a new receiving corps and five new starters between the offensive and defensive lines. They must hone a new 3-4 defensive scheme. You might have heard they need a quarterback.

Following that, the first half of the schedule is as forgiving as sheet rock. Yet any suggestion of tempered expectations was met with mildly ill-tempered responses Monday, including Irish coach Charlie Weis' assertion that God should "strike me dead" if he dared utter the word "rebuilding."
