On the viedeotape of it, he still looks serious, but does have a smile towards the end. But again, as cocky as Chad is, he doesn't believe he can beat Michael Phelps in a race. It was a well delivered joke.

Which makes your statement that it isn't debatable a factual error, and that isn't a matter of opinion.
BayBuck;1229930; said:It's really not funny either way. Chad's shtick is completely played out.
I agree, he's acting serious but it's clearly a joke. He did this a few weeks ago when he said he was going to fight Carson Palmer and the reporters starting laughing and he said "why are you laughing, I'm serious", it looks like that's his new thing for this year.billmac91;1229918; said:No, it isn't debateable because it was clearly a joke. To think he was being serious is not understnading the joke.

it's how he jokes...such as getting on people for not anwering his questions when he asks them in Spanish. Or telling Shawm Merriman if he got the ball he was going to run him over. All in a very serious way. The joke isn't funny if you know it's a joke.

Depends. Did he look serious when he hurt his shoulder?jlb1705;1232009; said:Bengals WR Johnson leaves preseason game with shoulder issue - NFL - CBSSports.com Live Scores, Standings and Stats
Ocho Stinko hurt his shoulder in tonight's preseason game. Does he think he can beat Phelps now?
CINCINNATI -- Maybe receiver Chad Johnson can go by the name that his head coach hates.
Johnson
The Cincinnati Bengals receiver has legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ocho Cinco in Broward County, Fla., a switch that became official this week. Johnson, who lives in Miami, didn't return a message left on his cell phone Friday night.
"It's something I don't think anyone has ever done before," he told the team's Web site. "Have I ever had a reason for why I do what I do? I'm having fun."
