Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann currently has three commitments for the 2023 class in Wichita (Kan.) Sunrise Christian guard Scotty Middleton (ranked 39th nationally), Pickerington (Ohio) Central forward Devin Royal (ranked 50th) and St. Marys (Ohio) Memorial center Austin Parks (ranked 168th).

The 6-4 Chatman is ranked as the nation’s No. 44 prospect in the 2023 class and the No. 11 combo guard.

"I picked Ohio State really just because I had a good relationship with the coaches. One thing I wanted to make sure is that I was comfortable in college with the people around and players and coaching staff," Chatman told Eleven Warriors. "So I think that checked the box. The other thing was just the playing style. I think I fit right into what they’re trying to build, as far as I could be a scorer or a playmaker in their rotation. So I think that’s big.”

Wow, great job CH, this is a really big get and had to beat out some top teams for Chatman. We've gotta have a good run coming with all this great recruiting, right? Taison looks like an explosive scorer and CH always gets the most of his players defensively. Not sure where this leaves us with Bronny or if it even impacts his recruitment due to my ignorance on basketball recruiting, but you have to take this kid right here. Welcome aboard Taison! Can't wait to see him play in Columbus.
