All teams suffer from injuries, to different extents. The SEC!!11!! being 1-4 in bowl games so far can't mainly be attributed to injuries...

I didn't say the SeC was sucking at bowl games because of injuries. It's the reason they moved up and down in the rankings so much.

I am. You have a far better idea of how good teams actually are at the end of the year than you did at the beginning.

That's generally true. But this Tennessee team would not have been able to consistently hangs with Nebraska at the time of year when they were missing 7 offensive starters.

Teams don't always just improve or degrade through the year. Sometimes they are a roller coaster.

Of course we have a better idea as the year goes on, but sometimes there are other forces at work.

Let's look at auburn. Early in the season they sucked. They tried to play three qb's and that was stupid. Then they found out they had Pettway and they settled on a qb and they got better. Then their top qb and Pettway got hurt and their backup rb was dinged up and they sucked again. Now they are healthy for the bowl game.
