Game Thread CFP Semifinal: Ohio State vs. Clemson, Sat 12/31 @ 7p ET, ESPN

I'm not giving up on him, but 2014 he had an incredible o-line and good receivers. I remember thinking then that he tended to stare down his first option, but it worked. I also figured he was a freshmen and would only get better.

He's a lot like Sackenberg in that respect. Both had more respectable first year numbers but after coaching changes, both QBs struggled.

Only the meltdown to Florida was worse than this in my 50 years of tOSU football.

couldn't disagree more. ginn, who was one of our best talents on offense and really put defenses in a bind, got hurt on the first kick return. then our d, which had the biggest problem that night, played extremely passive scheme wise really for the first time all year. which was really out of character. it had been a very agressive d all year and completely abandoned that in the nc game. i understand why we did it, though i disagreed with it then and now. but at least there was a semblance of logic to being so reactive defensively in the 06 nc game.

but the offense this year? young and lacking in consistency? heck yeah. but that doesn't mean you punt on first down. 9:33 left in the 4th and i think weber has still had 3 rushes so far... this isn't new and its not just something we do to freshmen. some zeke guy prolly agrees with me at least on this point. this is what we have seen all year. i can defend what the defense did in 06 from a scheme perspective to a degree even if i disagree with it. i can't defend the play calling tonight or for much of the last 2 years.

at least 06 was shocking on some level. tonight... im not sure even those with the most scarlet of colored glasses would say what we are seeing tonight is overly surprising in anyway.

2006 was one of the best years of my life. 10 years later and 2016 can suck a cock.

This offense, the lack of authority on the IZ, the lack of push up front, Warriner and Beck.

Something has to change this off season and Weber needs to cover himself in stickum.

The Florida game... that hurt my soul in a way I'm still not past, probably never will be. This isn't that. But whatever this is, it's still bad.

I'm getting hammered now. Let's hope 2017 is what we need it to be..

Beck and Warriner should be escorted off the premises and banished from the state of Ohio for this [Mark May]show

You know the funny thing.....this picture in your sig:

We did have a better line and receivers that year, not to mention a running back who is leading the NFL in rushing this year. That we don't have that level of talent this year makes it even more imperative to run a creative offense that has a plan. We're not.

The worst part is Clemson isn't even playing well. We just don't belong in a national semifinal. Nowhere close.
No. WE DID belong here but Warriner and Beck have absolutely ruined this season for us just like they have last year. Unexcusable, and if our offense takes advantage of a few turnover this shit doesn't go down.

It was said best. I'm embarrassed.
