CFP Game BMW Thread: #9 Tennessee at #8 tOSU

I’ll post this here mostly for the doom and gloom. But I do have a twist.

I think the team wants to win. I think they’re saying the right things about turning the page to a new “season.” But…it takes more to have real belief. It feels like there will be too much doubt for the team - in the coaches, in themselves and maybe even in the fans supposedly behind them.

I’m not sure I see a team that can come out and break tendencies or finally come together when they’ve been herky-jerky all year. Aside from the mental side…the broken OL and QB decision making are football concerns. I could see Tennessee jumping on the doubt and weaknesses.

All that said….and this may be close to what @Jaxbuck had said too. I’ve watched enough sports in my life to know when every thing looks it’s going to zig. Things sometime zag.

It could be the brotherhood is stronger than most thought. It could be 3 weeks of being talked down to has built something different inside that locker room. And it could be we’ve written the Obit on these Buckeyes too soon.

No matter what, I’m rooting for a historic playoff win at the Horseshoe. Go Bucks!

I could have gone to the game tonight for less than I paid for dinner last night. Instead, I’m sitting at home sipping bourbon and BSing on BP.

Our faith only goes so far when we’re expected to keep hauling a guy around on our shoulders after going 0 AND FUCKING FOUR TO THOSE… well, you get it.

So, I’ll stick with my warmth and bourbon. Prove it on the field, because we have the right to be disgruntled at the moment. I’ve spent thousands of dollars backing him and this team. Let him earn it or I’ll sit with my money still in my pocket.
