Why? I’m not interested in laundering talking points for a cheater who’s trying to come up with reasons for his team suddenly getting over a 6 year hump. With all the info we have now, does anyone think any part of his success had to do with seeing the light and coming up with state of the art ideas such as adding extra lineman in practice?
I thought we were done with the tough thing? The furtherest thing on anyone’s mind should be “Besides the cheating, I wonder what Harbaugh did for 3 years that was so special?”.
He was undefeated last year and Michigan was undeniably the best team in the country. It's one of the better NCAA teams of all time IMO. While it will always be mired by the stain of the cheating scandal, he also exploited Covid transfer rules to build the MOST experienced team since 1930's and 40's Harvard and Yale squads that would load 9th Year graduate students onto their teams.
Harbaugh was ALWAYS going to be gone after the 2023 season bc his team was built for that season and then it was over.....as we saw this season. The rebuilding will take at least 2-3 more years to get adequate talent in to compete an entire season.
Which makes our loss to them this year that much worse, IMO.
But love or hate how Harbaugh built last years squad, he capitalized on what he built. It wasn't going to be sustainable and he knew it. But they also paid it off, to which I will give him/them a little credit....
