A couple adds to what has already been said.

Tennessee players were complaining about the space heaters were not providing enough warmth on the Georgia sidelines on a 55 degree night in Athens Ga. 20 degrees might be more of a problem for them.

That said snow and especially wind will likely favor the Vols. They have an more reliable run game and OL.

Hopefully "I want to be the toughest team" Ryan Day was burnt up in the loss to SCUM and the game plan will be a healthy mix of edge runs, screens to WR and RB, RPO's with the occasional deep shot and run up the middle. With a OL that has been revamped 3 (maybe 4 times) he needs to play this team's strengths.

Even though they have more success running the ball, the Vols still will play with tempo. That means that this will not be like recent game with TCUN. There will be more procession for the offense so they focus should be efficiency with each possession .

With more defensive possessions as well, snap count and rotation on the DL is critical

My biggest concern is that the Vols defense aligns perfectly with our two greatest offensive weaknesses.

-They have 10 players with 100+ snaps on their front this year. That's pretty damn impressive. So not only is there talent and depth, but experience to go a long with it.

If the OL struggles early, that means Will is going to struggle and it will be another long day in the office for this offense.

- Vols defense likes their post snap defensive coverage shifts and rotations. They show a lot of single high pre-snap and then move into their MOD coverages and their 2 high shells. This is very similar to what we saw with Penn State in the first half of play and then in The Game vs scUM.

Oline has to block like their lives depend on it and at least draw neutral up front. Will needs to have the best two weeks of film study and game prep of his life. Not only studying his future and past opponents, but studying himself. Protect the rock in the passing and running game... Bucks have a shot.

The 'Shoe needs to bring the noise like they haven't done in yeas.

As an outsider fan of another team I try to avoid discourse about things like Ryan Day’s job security but this is a must win for him.

Not because the heat he’s feeling in general but because Tennessee on the road in big games under Heupel is absolutely pitiful.

Unless Day & co really crap the bed this should be a 34-17 buckeye win.
Being a better big game coach than James Franklin & Marcus "10 man defense" Freeman is keeping him afloat for now.

Let's hope he can do the same to Heupel.

If the Day from the Georgia playoff game shows up I think we can win pretty easily.

But if turtle shell 4D chess "lets keep running what clearly doesnt work" Day shows up it's gonna be a long night.

Agree with every thing you said. That's why the game plan and Will's decision making will be the difference between victory and defeat. Pass plays should stress getting the ball out of Will's hands quickly. Use RPO's and play action to slow the front 7.

Most important is take what the defense gives you and be efficient. If you score on half of your drives, you will win this game.

I don't know what to expect either but I'm worried that this loss to scUM completely broke him and that attitude from the head coach tends to carry down to the team as well.
