CFP Game: #9 Tennessee at #8 tOSU, Sat 12/21 8 ET on ABC/ESPN

Going to the game…historic game and thankful to have a bonus home game of significance to kickoff the holidays. Hoping the buckeyes start fast and play inspired. Win or lose I’ll have a good time. Hoping for another shot at Oregon. They have too much momentum and we need to shut it down! O-H!
I-O!!

It just kind of struck me that this is the first bad weather big time CFB game I can ever think of.

One of the by products of the old Bowl system I guess. We're not used to ever seeing a Bowl-like game played in sub zero weather with wind (or whatever the forecast is now).

That said, looking at it like an NFL playoff game, you can go to hell if you think I'm paying a premium to go fight frost bite (regardless of where I fall on the optimism/pessimism scale)
I'm 2.5 miles from the promised land and there's no way in f'n hell I'm going out in that shit on Saturday. Thats for young men so let them go fight in it an I'll scream at them from here under a blanket

Edit: Saturday looks like no precipitation but it'll be about 22 at kickoff, 10mph winds with 15-20mph gusts. That's about 15 windchill. Big fat no for me and the 3 limbs I have left!

How does the code leaking online mean we have bad fans?
I just went on ticketmaster, there are still a ton of unsold tickets on the resale market for under 200. Considering the lowest face value ticket is 100, tickets are just not moving that fast.
Both sides had the opportunity to buy when they went on sale but it seems like tickets aren’t moving that well which is shocking for a top 10 night playoff game.

as always I never said we are bad fans…. It was tongue in cheek. It’d just be shocking if we really are having troubles with ticket sales.

There are single tickets in the corner of A deck for $100 on Ticketmaster
Wow. My tickets to the Oregon game were roughly $300 a pop and they were mediocre seats. I get to Ohio on Christmas Eve but if I were there I would snatch that seat up in a heartbeat. Sounds like it will be very cold but just bundle up and being in a full crowd makes it warmer.

This is still THE Ohio State at the Shoe. First playoff game ever hosted there. Someone with a better memory than I have can recollect how many non-capacity games were played there, during the 2-10-1 years of Coop. Rabid fan base, check. One more chance to see tOSU play at home, check. First playoff game at the Shoe, ever, check. Dunno how 30,000 (?) tickets got away from our fans, maybe school's out and dorms emptied? Anyway, do expect the stadium will be rocking. Go Bucks!

I don't think there were many non-capacity games during the later Cooper era, at least in reported attendance, even in 1999 and 2000. I'm pretty sure there was constant expansion of the Shoe during the 90s.

I don't know if the Rose Bowl game has tickets allotted for Oregon's opponent but that's going to be a tough sell to anyone not local. I'm even close enough to drive but can't put up around $1,000 for two tickets, hotel, sitter, and food/beverage. All to be surrounded by 90% obnoxious Oregon fans. Awesome that Day tried to prove a point against scum to show how tough he can be just to fuck up the rematch with Oregon behind 90% fan support in Indy.
