Announcers are getting on my biggest beef with officials, usually you see it with MLB umpires. A player is asking a question, calmly, and the official reacts angrily, then starts tossing out technicals/ejections.

If the player is being calm, why the anger? Is the almighty official's ego THAT fragile? It seems so.

Someone needs to tell these clowns that no one bought a ticket to watch THEM.

Barring a huge comeback, the pressure will be on the Celts Friday at home. All they had to do was win OT in game four at home and they took over 3 minutes to score a point. :shake:

Had the last possession in regulation, too.

Although, it is a little easier to harp on a whole 5 minute period rather than just 1 play.

Hack-a-Howard for the next 5 minutes?

Bingo. Derosa throwing a ball at a fan and then trying to get the fan thrown out of the game when the fan tosses the ball back is Exhibit A. The egos of NBA officials are out of this world at times.

Derosa threw the ball at the fan? It looked like he tossed it to him just like you said the fan tossed it back.

Watch the video. It certainly appears to me that the ball had more zip on it when Derosa threw it to the fan than it did when the fan threw it back. Regardless, what in the world is he doing throwing/tossing the ball into the stands at a fan in the first place? Totally unprofessional move, IMO.

Ed Rush does his Major League Baseball umpire impersonation and ejects Perkins for no good reason, but he feels better now. :roll2:

Perkins getting tossed while Howard was throwing elbows all night long reminded me of Jerry Tarkanian's quote about the NCAA: "They were so mad at Kentucky, they gave Cleveland state two more years of probation."

I haven't watched a single game since the Cavs got knocked out, and even then it took considerable effort to make myself watch...and not because of how shitty the Cavs were playing. I've been saying for a while now that the NBA is becoming pretty much unwatchable. Between all the ticky-tacky fouls, the players crying everytime they're called for a foul, the flopping, the crying when they didn't get fouled, it's just maddening. All of this is amplified about five times during the playoffs, so I've totally tuned out and just wait for the highlights.

it was a better game when the players policed themselves.

Dwayne Wade wouldn't have survived 3 years in teh 80s/early 90s. In this decade he's a superstar and NBA champ. :roll1:
