The Heat went 18-4 to end the season while the Celtics went 3-7 down the stretch. I hope I'm wrong but this one has upset written all over it.

Boston Celtics' Kevin Garnett: Effort to help Paul Pierce led to technicals - ESPN Boston

Richardson sounded off on both Garnett and Pierce after the game.

"I was trying to get over there to take the ball out of bounds and [Garnett] started to talk to me, so I talked back. I don't have any business talking to him, he was on the ground crying. I don't know what was going on, two actresses over there, that's what they are.

"I just get surprised by people's actions when I know them better than that. They're not those characters they portray. They're not who they say they are, Garnett and Pierce, they're good basketball players and that's about it.

"I said to Jermaine, he's OK because I knew nobody touched him," explained Richardson. "Is he taking another break like he does so many times? Sometimes he falls like he's about to be out for the season and then he gets right up, that's all I said.

Richardson was spot on and its about time somebody called Pierce out for his boy who cried wolf antics.

I agree. That game in the playoffs where Pierce had to be taken off the court via wheelchair but returned to play in the same game was only the tip of the iceberg with that guy.

Oh my god, Chris Webber was doing the highlights and said, "Well, Pierce goes down but, seriously, who knows. We all remember the knee, so odds are he's just, ya know, being Paul."

I laughed my ass off, I love it. Pierce is a total bitch, what a friggin pussy.

Garnett has been suspended from Game 2 for his elbow in that mini-scuffle.

Totally stupid move by a veteran. :shake:

He better hope like hell his mates bail him out and win tonight.

Heat playing like hell and the Celts are up big without KG, 74-42 in the 3rd.

I wonder how teams can come out so flat in a game like this, with an opportunity at hand. The Celts ain't what they were two years ago, and with KG out they're even less, yet Miami is getting trounced. Go figure.

Last night's Nuggets-Jazz was pretty bad too. No Okur. No AK47. @ Denver. Nuggets had a chance to go up 2-0 at home and let an undermanned Jazz team (Koufos was playing minutes in the 4th Qtr) beat them at home.

Then again, at least that was close. You're right, this is real bad.

The Heat have one offensive player, and the Celtics are still capabale of playing some defense. As much competition as it'd bring the Cavs, it'd be interesting to see Derrick Rose and D. Wade playing next to each other in Chicago. Celtics deserve some credit for bringing the defensive intensity tonight when they could have played as soft as Miami is.
