CBS, ESPN, Scout Boards, I'm tired of you all

If anyone wants to ding me for having a rant fest, or if there is one this can be merged to, go for but as for now, I'm going postal on other boards.
I don't have in my mind this idea that BP is the be all and end all of message boards, but as far as not being haters and assholes, it's a pretty good place.
I've joined sportsline and ESPN boards and been called a homer because I was logical in my arguement, something quite often appreciated here on BP. Apparently what passes for logic out side the hallowed http that we all enjoy goes something like this.

OSUck sucks, the suck the suck up so bad that it maskes me wunt 2 vomit.

I have never in my time on this board seen opposing fans treated so poorly. I mean we got Shetuck on troll psych detail and there's always Sniper, Gator, and Captain Orange Cream Margarita ( I keed, I keed) to tease, but it's all in good fun, except the trolls, those bastards really get hit hard. So I guess what I'm saying isn't something sweet and mushy about this board, which I do enjoy, it is this.

Sportsline, ESPN, and some of the others, bite me.
This board makes me proud to be a Buckeye, maybe not by degree, but definately by birth.:oh:

BP is the best message board on which I've posted. The devotion of the mods, the care for the community by the users, the intelligence and wit of the users, everything is top-notch here. Probably has something to do with the fact that most of us are adults, rather than kids.

I'm sure there are other boards just as good, but I've posted on and moderated many - this is as good as I've seen.

Well done, BP members/mods/admins.

I want you to know that I'm not going to ding you because of your rant fest. I'm going to ding you because you started your post by talking about dings. I'm not dinging you because I want to, but because I have to. This is going to hurt me a lot more than it's gong to hurt you...ok, maybe not a lot more...maybe it won't hurt me at all, but I think that this will make you a better person in the long run. :biggrin:

I gave up on BP long ago... elitist mods, cluttered boards and a lot of posters are just pr cks. Every time I logged on I'd wet myself and forget where I was for about 15 minutes.... I gave up, it was just too hard to understand.

You know the more i've came here as of recently the more my opinion of a lot of things have changed. I'm a college football fan,and an ohio state fan. I've had a few tiffs with a few people on here,but recently i've gained a lot of respect for fellow posters on here. I guess that's why i've posted more. I've moderated on two bodybuilding/fitness/powerlifting boards.One which is the biggest of it's type of the internet,and I actually quit going to the site,because it became so much about traffic,and less about quality. My opinion about it is that if you can't keep a place you frequent peaceful and welcoming then there is no longer a point in being there. I give it up to the people and mods that are here. It's nice to see people go to such extremes,when it's not all about making money. It's about discussing things that they enjoy and love.
