CB E.J. Underwood (transfer to Pikeville)

I would still take ROD Woodson in his prime over Deion. You couldn't go wrong with either one but Woodson was the all around best secondary athlete I have ever seen. His coverage skills were just a shade below Dieon's but he was as physical a player as any in the league. Iirc he is still the only player to make Pro Bowls as a corner and safety. No way in hell Deion could ever do that.

I think a smart move for a Ravens opponent would be to run a toss sweep right at Deion early in the game, with the pulling guard putting his crosshairs right on Prime Time. Maybe you lose three yards due to backside pursuit, but you know he wants no part of taking on a block from an OL..

Ronnie Lott was at least one other.

I would imagine Mel Renfro too.

You are correct, both made the pro bowl at Saftey and CB

Here is what I was thinking of:

The first player in NFL history to make the Pro Bowl as a cornerback, kick returner and safety, Woodson spent his first 10 years with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also played with San Francisco for one year before signing with Baltimore in 1998.

He is also the NFL career leader in INT return yardage and INT returned for a TD.#2 or 3 all time in total INT's and iirc led the league in INT his last year before he got hurt(at age 38 or 39).

The guy is/was a physical specimen and flat out the best all around secondary player ever, imo. Some could do one thing a little better but none could do it all like he could. If I am picking 4 guys for the all time NFL secondary its Woodson, Lott, Deion and I'll leave the last one open for debate.

CB E.J. Underwood - transfer to Pikeville College (NAIA school)

Hey I must have missed something... I know EJ Underwood hasn't been playing well at all, but why do people keep saying IF he's around next year? is he going to leave because of poor play? grades? or what is his deal?

How many are we recruiting, or not recruiting I should say, that are either waiting for their latest ACT/SAT scores to get the OSU offer. You wonder why, once you get that schollie, you would do something as silly as not attend class as much as you should be attending? :shake:

Before the season started I really really thought that EJ was going to become our best guy in the secondary. I'm not quite sure where he went wrong, but i'm sure glad Youboty has come through like he has and now looks to be the future of the secondary.
