Doran enjoyed his visit and says Coach Johnson reinforced the losses in the secondary next season.

to clarify the meaning of 'reinforce' in that context, I assume he means that coach Johnson went over the depth chart with him and emphasized the opportunity for early playing time with both starters graduating, correct?

UA All-American Doran Grant visits Ohio State - ESPN

Grant visits Ohio State, MSU next

Under Armour All-American defensive back Doran Grant (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary) was in Columbus, Ohio, this past weekend and will be in East Lansing, Mich., next weekend.

Grant attended the Ohio State-Miami game and will attend the Michigan State-Notre Dame game. It would be anything but a surprise if his decision comes down to either the Buckeyes or Spartans.

"It was a good game," Grant said of the Buckeyes' win over the Hurricanes. "(Ohio State) struggled a little offensively, but the defense played well. And the crowd was great. They were very loud."

I hope you are wrong. We are hearing from our insiders this could be 50/50 at this point in the process.

We MSU fans think we have a shot.

If this were a Michigan kid, I would much more inclined to follow what the MSU insiders are saying...but given who this kid and what sources the OSU insiders are touting, I feel fairly confident...

Webb: Allen, Akron (Ohio) St. Vincent-St. Mary's corner Doran Grant (5-10, 177, 4.37) has strong family ties to Michigan State. His dad, Ted Jones, was a standout receiver for the Spartans in the late 70's/early 80's. Has he helped give the Green & White an edge?

Trieu: "It is going to be really interesting. I think it is down to Michigan State and Ohio State and I think those are the two schools that it has been all along. I think Ohio State has been the leader the whole time, but at this point I think Michigan State has been catching up. He is another kid that was at that MSU/Notre Dame game and you really cannot downplay the significance a win in a game like that can have for recruiting."

OSU/Miami is greater than or equal to MSU/ND if you want to play the significance of "games like that" card, which is a bunch of hooey either way in my opinion
