i just read the article. i can't say i quite understand what he is talking about with the fans up in Michigan. Just because he is from there they will like him more?
Think of Dionte and Ronald as a Glenville type situation for Michigan. They will look around and talk about other schools...but there is zero doubt where they will go.
just curious, but how do you recruit a player like this? obviously you want a player like Allen on your team, but with the chances being so slim do you approach him different than say an Oglesby or Martin who are both torn? or even a Glenville kid who will more than likely end up here?

I've also read that Nate Oliver has called Dionte Allen to try to get him to come to Columbus.
What is the reason for even commenting like that when you know that you're Scum bound??? Has the situation changed any, for anyone in the know???
just in case something happens at Michigan (ie a certain coach retires and the AD nukes the entire staff and starts over) he's got options to go elsewhere. Reading that article, I think its clear. He's going to Michigan, but he still like to see what's out there in case that doesn't work out for some reason.<!-- / message -->
Its a smart move on his part, considering the heat on the staff at Michigan to win this year. I can't say I have a problem with him exploring all of his options.
If scUM has another sub-par season, I think at least half of the staff is gone. That would open the door for OSU if they are deciding around January-NLOI day.
