CB Calvin Simpson-Hunt (National Champion, transfer to Baylor)

this would literally be the only case that makes sense
Well yes and no. Yes because the people that rank the players spending very little time watching film, they show up to camps and evaluate there. No, because he’s clearly a serious talent. But the recruiting websites are a business so they rank kids that they speak to and can get clicks for interviews and inside info

How tf isn’t he a 5s?

He did jump 72 spots up to #82 overall on Rivals. Still have the AA game to move up even more possibly. Regardless, having Calvin and Mathews in this class is absolutely crucial, biggest position of need and two huge talents. Biggest concerns are getting an OT and two quality DE's, but having CB locked up is comforting.

Incredible film, this kid is for real. There is a lot to talk about with his film, but I am really impressed with his trail technique and staying all over the WR, but not pulling or getting some sort of PI...he might want to try and teach that to the rest of our CB's because that is an area we are very weak in. Gets in the hip pocket and leaves the hands loose to not draw the contact, kid obviously had some really good coaching. Also his length is incredible, as his willingness to come up and be physical.

CSH and Mathews are the exact tandem we needed at CB, both guys I think will excel here and bring what we are missing at CB. I wouldn't say CSH is overlooked in this class but if you haven't got excited about this kid yet, now would be the time. Both guys are true cover corners who want to get in your face and be physical, exactly what we need in the CB room.

To use a comparison from another thread, CSH is more Darrell Green than Neon Deion. Both uber talented, but one rather tell you, the other is fine with just showing you
