Played mostly nickel/safety last night because they wanted him setting the edge and playing more of a run defender role against Dinwiddie's rushing attack. He'll do that normally against run-heavy teams, but expects to play corner against teams that throw the ball. He also said that both he and Miles Lockhart were planning to move around from corner to nickel at OSU, while Aaron Scott is seen as the outside corner mainly.
From the film on the three that I have watched, that adds up. Scott is definitely outside and West could be a lockdown Nickel imo...West can play outside for sure, but he could be glue on slot receivers. Lockhart I could see being either. I'll let the coaches figure it out, but that is just how I envisioned it working out.Per Tony Gerdeman:
