CB Bradley Roby (2x All B1G)

There are people who are WAY too invested in the performance of a team who, at the end of the day, shouldn't have any bearing on their lives.

Amen to that. I have a Buckeye "friend" that I tailgate with . Guy is successful in his mid 40s and you'd think he would know better but he has the mentality of a 12 year when it comes to Ohio State football. He went down to the Orange Bowl and his first group text after the game was "Braxton should go pro. I'm done with him".

I can't type my reply here because it would lead to bannage as this is a players thread. I wasn't happy about the loss on Friday night but I didn't lose sleep over it nor did it cause me anguish. There are much more important things to worry about than the outcome of a football game and what other people think of Ohio State.

"He should have jumped on his defensive coordinator for putting him in that position" - Neon Deon's comments on Aberderis putting up 207 yards on Roby.

Can you give me an idea of the context of the quote? Was Sanders saying that the coaches should have known that Roby couldn't cover Abrederis? I mean, Roby really didn't play well all season long so I'm not sure why they would pull the Wisconsin game out of thin air. I'm pretty sure that was the best day a WR had against Roby ever so maybe that was why.

EDIT Changed my wording.

Abused is a bit much and not how we do things here.
As for the topic, I think it's pretty foolish to have him switch positions before facing the league's best wideout.

By switch positions do you mean field vs. boundary? And in a lot of systems you're taught multiple positions so that A) you have a better idea of how the defense or offense works as a whole and B) so that you can move around if needed. Doesn't mean it worked, but an upperclassman like Roby should be expected to be able to do something like that.

did not seem like that same system taught our other upperclassman in the 2ndary playing on the same field. i'm not a coach though, so what should my expectations be? and thats not jab at anyone honestly, maybe Roby can be blamed wholly for aberdabers 200+ yrds, seems a bit heavy of a claim to me.
