CB Ashton Youboty (CB Coach Purdue)

Lets hope he can stay with Edwards on Saturday, we just need to keep him from beating us deep.

I really want to see us put Ginn in as a CB Saturday. If they don't feel like he could learn the scheme yet then make him like a spy... not on the QB or the RB, but on the ball. It's basically what Gamble did two years ago.

No offense, but that is the last thing I want to see on Saturday.

As if we haven't already been missing enough tackles in the secondary. Not a knock on Ginn, but cmon ... he's a true freshman who hasn't seen any action on the other side of the ball, you'd kinda be setting him up to fail.

hehehe. he needs a little more seasoning to be put into the springs/winfield league imo. but he has the talent without question. like you i can't wait to see this guy continue to mature. he's so much fun to watch, he just keeps getting better and better.

I don't know how good or great he'll be every single game, but that one today was one of the best jobs by an OSU DB in the history of the school for a single game, considering who he was covering and what game it was.

Bravo "Liberian Lightning"

No doubt about Ashton and his ability this year. What a tremendous player he already is and I hope he does nothing but improve.

Two plays impressed me today. The interception of the would be touchdown to Edwards. Read it perfectly, was fast enough to adjust to it and nice hands to grab it.

The other was when he and Edwards had a jump ball on a deep pass. Ashton timed the ball better and actually was higher than Edwards on it. The announcers were first crediting Edwards with his body control and then talked about how he kept Ashton from getting it.

PS They are fretting on the maize and blue board about their lack of db depth.

We will miss Fox next year. He always was a great leader. But we have incredible talent in the secondary. Returning players with a lot of experience are: Youboty, Salley, Whitner, Underwood, Everett, and Mitchell. Then you will have Shawn Lane, Nick Patterson, Brandon Underwood, Curt Lukens (if not moved to LB), Sirjo Welch, and, of course, Jamario O'Neal. We should be awesome.
